  16. Take 1 Cup or more Water for the dough
  17. Make ready 1 Teaspoon Oil

  19. Take Prepared Chicken
  20. Take 1 Iceberg Lettuce (Chopped)
  21. Make ready 200 Grams Sour Cream

Pepper chicken rolls with cheese and sweet pepper baked in foil. Roll the chicken breasts up and tie the rolls closed with a piece of kitchen twine. Wrap the chicken rolls in foil and place on a dry roasting tin. Today I decided to recreate one of my all time favorite wraps - Hummus Chicken Wrap, that I usually order at a local cafe.

Steps to make Pepper Chicken Wrap/Roll:
  1. (A) To make the chicken: - - Cut the chicken into small bite size pieces. - Wash thoroughly in a colander under running water. Shake off the excess water.
  2. Marinate with 1 Tsp pepper powder, salt & the lemon juice for at least half an hour.
  3. Smoke mustard oil in a nonstick medium skillet/pan. Reduce heat to medium.
  4. Tip in the sliced onion & chopped garlic. - Sauté until golden. Add the Green Chilies. - Cook for a minute.
  5. Now goes in the marinated chicken followed by 1 Tbsp pepper powder, turmeric powder & more salt if required.
  6. Cook on medium to high heat for 10 minutes. Reduce heat to low. Cook covered for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  7. When oil starts separating, it’s done. - Sprinkle fresh cilantro leaves. Keep covered.
  8. (B) To make the Dough: - - Combine the four & 1 teaspoon cooking oil in a large bowl. - - Make a well in the middle. - - Add a little water. (Add water little by little as required). - - Make a pliable dough. - - Keep it covered until you are ready to cook.
  9. (C) To make the Rotis: - - Make lemon sized balls of the dough. Flatten between your palms to make thick disks. - - Dredge in dry flour & roll out about 6 inches in diameter with minimal & equal pressure with the help of a rolling pin.
  10. Place on a hot Tawa/Griddle or Pan. - - Roast for a couple of minutes flipping a few times.
  11. When light brown spots appear on top of the Roti, drizzle some oil & fry until golden on both sides. Remove on a plate.
  12. (D) To assemble the wraps: - - Place a handful of the chopped lettuce, some sour cream & some chicken in the middle. Wrap & secure with a plastic pick or toothpick. - - Serve hot! - - Enjoy❣️

That's why I decided to make this Roasted Red Pepper Hummus Chicken Wrap at home. Of course I added some ingredients like the garlic dill sauteed. Toss the chicken with the lime zest and juice, pepper, oil and a little salt. Spread a little guacamole over each tortilla, top with some lettuce and chicken, then drizzle over the yogurt.
