- Prepare 1 lb sardines, cleaned
- Take 1/4 cup olive oil, extra virgin

- Rinse under cold running water.

- Pour over the sardines and then let it sit for about 30 minutes so the sardines absorb the flavours.
- Then transfer the baking dish to the oven and cook for about 20 minutes. Add a splash of water to the dish if it becomes dry at any point.
- Serve immediately. Enjoy with some crusty bread.
