- Prepare 140 grams Self raising flour
- Make ready 140 grams Wholemeal flour
- Get 1 tsp Baking powder

These are a savoury scone as opposed to a sweet scone, and are perfectly at home alone as is, or served along side a delicious soup or salad.

- Mix the flours, baking powder in a bowl with a pinch of salt if you like. Cut the butter into cubes and add it to the mix, rubbing together to make a breadcrumb mixture.
- Stir in half of the cheese into the breadcrumbs and make a well in the centre
- Whisk together the yoghurt, egg, marmite and milk then add to the breadcrumbs, bringing together to make a soft, but not sticky dough. If you feel it's a little dry add a bit more milk.
- Heat the oven to 190C/fan 170C and turn the dough out onto a floured surface then roll to about 2cm thick. Stamp out scones until you can't make any more, then reform a doughball and repeat until all the dough is used.
- Place the scones on a baking sheet, brush with a little milk and scatter over the remaining cheese. Bake for 10-12 mins until golden brown.

Using the back of a spoon, carefully spread on the Marmite (warm it briefly in the microwave first if it seems stiff).
