  21. Get Lettuce leaves chopped half cup
  22. Make ready French fries 1 plate
  23. Prepare 1 cup Cucumber roughly chopped
  24. Prepare Chukandar boiled cut into slices 1 cup
  25. Get 1 cup Chilli garlic sauce

My original plan was to replicate the shawarma at a restaurant in Berkeley called Holy Land. We love their combination of well-seasoned grilled meat, pickled and fresh vegetables, and spicy sauce. Instructions to make Shawarma in my style:
  1. Marinate chicken with ginger garlic paste, salt, white pepper, black pepper, all spice, soyasauce, vinegar, chilli sauce, Dp sauce, yogurt, Hp sauce, chicken powder and oil for 30 minutes. Heat oil in a pan. Put marinated chicken and fry for 10 minutes. Cook till chicken tender.
  2. To make sauce - Mix together all the ingredients. Assembling - Fry pita bread on both side. Remove. In a plate put fry pita bread place lettuce leaves, chicken strips, cucumber, chukander and French fries. Drizzle sauce and chill sauce and roll the shawarma. Serve.

I crave shawarma, and if I were banished to a deserted island and told I could only eat one specific thing for the rest of my life, I'd probably pick shawarma. We get awfully good shawarma in Lahore, but this is my version of chicken shawarma for summers in the suburbs of Detroit. One of my favorite snack is Beef Shawarma…and this is my take on it.
