The ingredients needed to make Cottage Pie:

  2. Make ready Minced Beef
  3. Make ready Tomato Paste
  4. Make ready Garlic Paste
  5. Prepare Beef Stock
  6. Get Hendersons Relish

Instructions to make Cottage Pie:
  1. Cut the onion, and fry until translucent.
  2. Add the beef into the same pan, and fry until browned. Add a generous dash of Hendersons relish.
  3. Add in a squeeze of tomato paste and garlic paste. Combine the stock cube with 300ml of boiling water and add to the pan.
  4. Peel and slice up the carrots. Put then in a pan of boiling water for 6 mins. You can put them straight in if you like, but I find they are too hard in the final pie.
  5. Reduce down the liquid while the carrots are cooking. Add 200g of frozen peas. Add in the boiled carrots.
  6. Cover with pre prepared mash, grate on some cheese and put in an oven on 180C for 15 mins.
